Looking for FFA PVP or the funnest PVP out there

Hello,
My favorite games do not have a strong population anymore and I want to be sure not to miss any hidden gems out there.
I am currently playing Darkfall which will probably last awhile but I fear that Guildwars will close down soon as the population is terribly low. This is a pretty big fear because I am in love with random arena. I doubt that Darkfall is going to die anytime soon but I thought that I should look at what else is out there or what else is coming up because I am stalling having to grind up my character more (I hate PVE... it used to be fun in the first Darkfall but I think its incredibly boring in the second one... I think I will just be doing the dungeons which should be fun but hate how behind my character has become.
So my question is what else is out there? Has it really come to this? What games are there worth playing besides the ones that I already mentioned? Am I missing something? Is there any FFA PVP on the horizon even? That is what I want. FFA PVP.. and an open world.... much like the original Darkfall before it became safer to play in the newer version.
If you mention something, please be sure to let me know how the PVE grind is.... I hate grinding and pretty much will not do it. If I am forced too than I just will not play. In FFA PVP games it doesn't matter because I can stick around the newer areas and have my fun there without having to grind. Darkfall has safe zones now so I want to know what else is out there.

Achaea - My favorite game for PvP, has 17 classes that are all pretty strong for 1v1. Some classes are better than others in group PvP, but the game is pretty skill-based. Lots of instakills to use if you have the right "afflictions" on your opponent.
The PvE grind isn't bad at all, you only need to be around level 60ish to have a good health pool to compete in PvP, and getting to level 60 is maybe a week or 2 of bashing. But if you want to grind hard, you can transform into a Dragon at level 99, which gives you a handful of PK skills that only Dragons can use. But they're not "overpowered" and most people prefer to PvP with their original class.
