There were games using horrible hero engine that were beyond fixing, war, swtor, rift, gw2 ( not all of them used hero engine ), but we knew from the start those were gonna run horrible, but those run about 5 times better than "custom" Wildstar engine, this is first game that my pc just cant run at playable specs, no matter which settings i choose my fps stay around 15, which is unplayble in my book, but hey lets keep believing in " miracle patch " , last miracle patch was in War which made game run worse, leak memory like there is no tomorrow and well fail the game as one major reasons.
As for true miracle patch it was in AOC, but that game looked better in its time ( it still might do , havent played for a while, and completely different styles ) , and was ran on hardware from 7 years(as minimum) ago.. not to mention it performed better before " miracle " patch compared to wildstar
Every good thing about WildStar is ruined by the fact that the game includes cash for gold pay 2 win, like a sleazy F2P.
CREDD, which they love to hype but never fully explain, boils down to buying in-game gold for cash. Something that is usually considered bannable cheating in most sub-based MMORPG, Carbine has turned into an additional revenue stream for themselves on top of the 15/mo sub and 60 box.
Not even close. There is a very comprehensive article on WS website explaining how CREDD works. Go read it and then come back and edit your post.

Really,
I never dipped below 75fps.
You do realize optimization means how it performs on computers as a whole and not just yours individually . I recently played Elder Scrolls online on Ultra with fps at about 60-70 but my machine struggles to get 20-30 fps in the open world in WIldstar . You just have to look at forums all over the internet to realize this is an issue with the game . I'm glad you are getting decent fps but you have to remember for an mmo to be successful it need to work well on low settings for lower end PCs . If mine is struggling on medium setting then I cant see that happening . If its not resolved then its going to seriously effect its success .
Idk what all these people are bitching about. I think this is the best thing in the mmo market since BC. They must Must be ESO trolls who are sour their game sucks. The reason why there Arnt more positive comments is because all the wildstar fans are busy enjoying playing the game.

A very reasonable and logic posting on the mmorpg.com forums.
Claiming all these things as the best is just ludicrous.
Best MMORPG you'll play this year - thats just cringworthy
really? I don't think so at all.
Having played WoW, ESO, FFXIV, and Wildstar, I'd say that you could easily say that WS is the 'best' if you like that type of game. It does not have anything that is really 'holding it back' from being the best in someone's opinion.
Meanwhile ESO has duping problems, zone roll backs, dungeons that aren't playable, vampires that can kill 100s of people solo, extremely unbalanced unfun AvA...
Wow hasn't released any content this year anyway... So not really anything to say there, and WoD looks nice and all but frankly it's not any more 'ground breaking' than any other MMO coming out this year, so you could easily 'prefer' wildstar over WoD.
Let's look at FF14, not a bad game, yet it has a bad reputation because of 1.0, it's content is being put out at a rather brisk pace, yet it's combat style is a bit sluggish for a lot of people, and they said they'd add in mod API within the first 6 months, and a lot of other little things are really tarnishing FF14 right now.
So now we're at Wildstar, with it's combat that is just a bit different, and yes it has some FPS issues, however, they are actually responding to the problem rather than sweeping it under the rug, ala SWTOR with it's ability delay. So I can see why yes, Wildstar COULD be the 'best' MMO this year in someone's opinion.

So, what your saying about ESO when it comes to WS is that WS will have absolutely ZERO duping, balance, or bugs when it launches. You are delusional and need a clue. I think I saw it on the ground a couple days ago.
I really don't care if people hate wildstar. I enjoy it. It took me getting to level 14-15 for the game to start opening up. I understand level 20 it opens up a little more. In the Wildstar dev streaming the other day, they said at level 35 is when the story really starts to open up. I can't wait, also there is no nerfing like in wow on raids/dungeons, which is a major selling point for me. This will distance a lot of gamers that really aren't gamers in my option. I can't think of one mmo, even wow, that was good until mid game or and max level. GW2 was kinda fun in the leveling, but lacked anything to do at max level. So like I said, I could care less if people hate this game, and I will be with like minded gamers in the long run in Wildstar in the end, not with want to be gamerz.

I just find the game boring. Sorry I do not agree with you. I must be a ESO troll then.
I find the story rather dull, so the far quest have been pretty standard, the general pace of combat is slow. I will try to keep playing a bit more. The game so far just does not bring anything new to the table that is interesting to me.
Those statements reek of attention seeking and desperation.
When you are best at something there is no need to say it, as people are going to talk about it.
On the other hand whenever a product claims to be best...... almost never the case.
Well, its their product and they are enthusiatic about it. Its a good sign, and for them to be the opposite would be more damaging.
But.. they are offering beta as a trial to test their product and thats different than other products or games. So at least it makes more sense with their tone and them offering beta.
Write bad things that are done to you in sand, but write the good things that happen to you on a piece of marble
Another month to beta test ESO for consoles! But you must pay upfront, just in case.
Stages of a new mmo: 1) It's just beta. It still has plenty of time before release. 2) It just launched. Give it time. WoW wasn't built in a day. 3) We don't need you anyway. 4) F2P announced. 5)Huge influx of players. 6) Look how much has changed. 7) Cash shop is the only thing developed lately. 8) It has been a long journey and we thank everyone who was part of it. Shutting down in 3 months. (Courtesy of Robokapp.)
I would love to jump into beta, however when I try to log in it says can not connect to ncsoft servers. I am in north america, turned off my virus scanner and it still says that.
So I cant prove them wrong, or right, I can say is I cant get into open beta. That in itself is an issue.
ESO and Wildstar are such different experiences that I find comparing them silly at best and disingenuous at worst.
Look, Wildstar wasn't for me. I went there looking for the slightly dark humor in the adverts (still love those promotional videos, someone should win an award for them) but what I found, in my opinion, was a shallow game play experience. ESO, despite its myriad of faults, is more to my tastes. I'm also more a fan of the realistic approach to character models over the cartoony fashion that seems in vogue right now.
But if you like WS, great! I think the world is large enough to contain a multitude of options for MMO gamers.
I still remember the british guy that got me so excited about WAR. Learned a lesson there lol. Going to give the beta a shot and wait a bit till after the launch to see what`s up.

How is what Voqar described not close? Seems like an accurate description to me.
Player A buys CREDD then sells it to player B for in-game gold. End result player A spends real money to buy in-game gold.

Love Minecraft. And check out my Youtube channel OhCanadaGamer
Try a MUD today at http://www.mudconnect.com/I think what hes getting at is that Wildstar is not Pay to Win, but you are correct, you can buy gold in-game from other players.
But...then again..isn't this technically in every MMO?
Tis will be the most enjoyable pile of s$@# I have played with.
and I have played with a lot of s$@# lately.
This is my main concern.
Since when have gold sellers been poor without in game credits ???
If someone is going to buy c.r.e.d.d with in game credits ,its gold sellers and they will get new nickname which is c.r.e.d.d sellers.
edit 1:Its freaking gold sellers dream come true scenario "free subsrictions which means profit to them just when botting gold allready"
edit 2: thinking even further : They need to nerf credit drops which will hurt normal gamers in the end.
So, did ESO have a successful launch? Yes, yes it did.By Ryan Getchell on April 02, 2014.

In before someone pulls the ArcheAge card.
Played, uninstalled - proved devs wrong!
