Skill decidions...This can drive me crazy

I'm playing a Nightblade, I'm only level 22 because of insane overtime and over worked.  This does not stop my tired mind from daydreaming my skills when I'm away.....I actually like the play as you feel attitude ESO gives you.  So far al level 22 I feel overpowered but it's still early, add that I have nothing to compare it too....People here are scaring me with VR1 and above and how the game begins to ramp up.  Don't get me wrong, I love hard, and its been a long time coming with mmos.

I was telling my friend that will soon be playing that it's best to look wayyyyy ahead before creating his character.  This seems to hold true if your a one character type of player.

Anyway :

When I started weeks ago, I thought I knew what I was gonna do.....Well things change !

Nightblade assassin, duel welding swards with medium armor, heavy damage, with a Bow for some range, without caring about stealth was the way I was going to go.....After all this was the description ESO gave the assision ( heavy damage ).

BUT, now when I look at the medium armor tree, I'm seeing points should be spent in deeper stealth. Of curse you don't have to spend the points.  But now I wished I went heavy armor....I never looked that far ahead....I followed the basic template ESO gives us in the description of the assassin ( pure damage).

More.....Finding tanks were a nightmare for the first dungeons ( level 15 ) I decided to back myself up and put points into heavy armor and 1H+Shield.  Now I could tank in a pinch.  Now, it seems like second level dungeons ( level20 ) tanks are not so much a problem.  Maybe others are getting the same idea, or I've been getting lucky with my groups.....Wasted points.

More....Now I'm thinking, spending points in stealth.  Dropping out of a fight for 2.5 seconds sounds intriguing.  This may be good for PvP......I don't know, I don't have the experience in PvP yet, it's all a guess.....Wasted points.

NOW DECIDION MAKING PROBLEMS COULD BE APPLYIED TO ANY CLASS. I'm sure many players are battling with this.

So, My question is how do you respect. I've seen discussions here about respecting at level 40....How does this work ? By individual points or all points at once.  Are people respecting like I think they are ? Does it cost a lot ? Should you just have fun until you need too and be care free ?

I believe in standing firm, but you need experience in this mmo to do that !

You can respec anytime just remember that it's 100g per skill point. So if you have 32 skills invested the cost for a respec will be 3200g.

You will have enough skill points to run with multiple builds.

I wouldn't bother respeccing unless you really screwed up, which is rather difficult to do.

What is important is that you use the right skills for the encounter, so learn to switch skills in and out as necessary.

Let me start by saying that I am not saying anyone here is stupid. Players are finding it complex because current MMO design has simplified skill/power choices to a level a toddler could work out. With a background of extremely simple systems players are naturally finding it hard to put their thinking caps on.

I can't fully answer the Op's question because TESO is somewhat complex. You do need different builds for different functions, you can get enough skill points to perform in more than one role. There are build guides out there and you can respec but as I have no intention of doing so before 50 I don't know how to.

Do yourself a favor and roll another character. Much of the NB skills are bugged, which can make it quite hard once you hit Veteran Rank zones if you don't have the right build.
