The mmorpg I was working on, BlueSin has lost me and 4 others because the project leader just didn't do his best on it, we couldn't do anything and it all was pretty unclear.Now we started a project of our own, we are still looking for new people.

The project is called God's Quest: The Legend of Power
Some information about the storyline:

You start of as a Villager of Klamiah.You have just discovered some secrets which lead to powers beyond your imagination.Magical powers you could only have dreamed off.And now, it becomes reality.You want to find out more about these great powers you behold.But no villager seems to know anything about it.You got only 1 choice, and that is to head for the temples.In these temples you discover magical things but also need to do some tough batteling because of traps and monsters guarding the place.Once you reach the centre of the temple a whole new adventure opens for you.
Your goal is to find the secrets, get the knowledge about these awesome powers.These powers which would make you invinsible, indestructable, unbeatable.Which could make you rule the world or help the world.Spread power and chaos or peace and friendship.Let evil reign or destroy the forces of evil.With this power 1 thing is for sure, you will surpass the power of the GODS.

During this quest you will find portals to new worlds, learn about the old legends and need to battle against tough monster bosses.One thing is for sure, you ain't gonna make this in one day, slowly you will find out more information about the secret and get to know what it means.It might take a while before you understand it, but slowly your character starts to become smarter and know more and more about this secret, this by gathering information, talking with people and examaning old tablets, holy books etc.

When you start to understand the secret, you will feel the power inside of you grow, bit by bit, you are becoming stronger, but although you are becoming stronger, you know you still got a long way to become a God.You will need to hang in there, battle on, find out the secrets, discover new worlds and understand.Only by doing this, there is the chance you will reach your goal, having Godlike powers.

There is a pinned topic under General Topic with all the info available untill now, would be to long to post here, also there is a topic with info about what you need to know if you want to join the dev team.We got a lot of positions open so if you got a talent you can join the team pretty sure.

I hope you all like the idea, and maybe even join the dev team.The forums aren't realy filled with people yet cause they only went online yesterday, but will hope to get a bigger community within a month.

Tomorrow, 21 october at 8 GMT there is gonna be a meeting on the forum chat channel, if you want to join the meeting, for now you still need to sign up.You can bring ideas there etc.Ask for more info if you don't get something and maybe decide to join the dev team.

Well, one remark if I may... the game is called "God's Quest" and there's a remark stating "With this power 1 thing is for sure, you will surpass the power of the GODS." The title kinda sounds "christian" in a sense sounding like there's only "one god"... so maybe switching the title around so it says "Quest of the Gods" would help more... *shrugs*

It would just be to long to post all so I only posted a little bit of the info we got.But this explains it better:

This power is the power of all the gods combined, it is a secret weapon they only use in the war against the demon empire.But this secret has been found out by the people living on the earth.The gods weren't paying attention, this should never have happened, but now since it happened and they are peaceful, they decide to give it a try and also keeping in mind that there are still some evil forces roaming the planets.Satan has also become aware of this, and will try to do anything to get people joining his evil empire and rule under the name of satan with power and chaos.The choice is up to you.

We are looking for more people who want to help on this game, so if you want to help on the creation of an mmorpg, with 3d graphics, and want to help in creating this game a succes.Then either reply here or on the forums of the game.

We have a dev team of 6 people now, but not all positions are filled in.

We need:
-Programmers, need to know C++ or learning it.
-Webdesigners, searching people with php or flash knowledge
-Modelers, people who are great in drawing and can create models for the graphics team to work on.
-3D Modelers, people who are able to work with 3d studio max or maya
-Graphics Team, people who are able to create sprites, basing the looks on the models from the modelers.
-SFX/Music Team, people able to create sound effects or music
-Storyline developers, people able working out the storyline perfect and thinking of and writing new quests.
-NPC Scripters, people able of scripting npc's.
-Promoters, people who do as much as possible to promote the game and get new people here

Hey Psycho, sign me up! Like i have posted a couple times before in other topics, im dieing to get my hands on developing an mmorpg.

Actually any game for that matter, helping to create a game(of any kind)and becoming an animator for japanease anime in tokyo are my 2 dreams.

I could probably make 2d drawings/sketches for game characters, but i'd really be interested in helping with storyline. I got so many ideas my head hurts.

Matter of fact me and a friend have sat down and made almost a complete script for our "dream game" ( its no mmorpg, its a cross-breed between GTA3 and GT3 )

At the moment we have 14 ppl working on it and 2 ppl who are still thinking about it but are like 90% sure they will join the team.

We are still looking for more people, at the moment not so much for web developers anymore, since we got 3 already, but if you would be like extremely good in web developing you might still be accepted.

Tonight we are having a meeting again, with as subject the truevision engine. Because there were some advices to use another engine. If you think you also know a good engine, keep costs of it in mind, we don't have infinitive money.Also keep in mind that it should be a stable engine and not some sort of * things which has just started.

During the last week we have like totally reorganized everything, we have set leaders over teams etc to get it more organized and easier to work.

Meanwhile on the game itself there hasn't been that much progress.The training from me and another programmers has gone through.We have been working hard on a text based rpg game.We are fixing a basic first for the game, then we will start working on an mmorpg engine for it, server/client system.

The game is pretty fun, there are 3 quests at the moment and a lot of skills:
mining
smelting
forging
woodcutting
fishing
cooking
hits
attack
defense

There are in total 7 types of monsters, 2 types of fish to be caught, 2 types of ores.

There are a lot of different types of weapons and armours.And everything is still growing since we are still practesing with this.

The latest thing being created is a casino system, in which you can bet on fruitmachines, do poker etc. A lot of these things are also going to be found back in God's Quest.

There is an auto update system, so just run update to let the game update to the latest version there is.

If text based rpg's aint your thing, then it aint' worth to even try it :P.If it is, it can be pretty fun for several hours and it sure is hard to finish the third quest

id help but i dont know any thing bout computers 8 / and about this shouldnt you add brewing everyone loves to get drunk

The game is pretty fun, there are 3 quests at the moment and a lot of skills:

No offense, but this game really sounds more like a single player RPG, but id love to get into it, i have no real computer game skills, but i have played a lot of mmorpgs and might help with ideas,story.

As for sounding like a single player rpg.That is just cause there isn't yet much information about the mmorpg part, we are still working a lot out and stuff. Cause we want it perfectly planned before we realy start. Of course there will be possibilities like partying, exp sharing etc.
