    Nice

There are so many heroes and villains in the Warcraft Universe from Warcraft 1 all the way to Draenor expansion in WoW. Add to that the characters from Diablo and Starcraft. I think this moba will be the one with the most characters in it. I hope Blizz dont limit it to just a few from each game. Variety is where these games shine since they all grind the same one or two maps for years and years.

You don't need any kind if lore or story to come up with tons of heroes. As long as blizzard have enough heroes, this should be fun.

Games like Dota never seem to get boring. Dota has so much variety that even after thousands of games, every game feels different because of the sheer number of heroes, items, combinations and pure luck on some occasions. Moba games seem to have achieved what MMOs can't seem to do - longevity and people playing for years without becoming bored.

Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

You might not need to lore, but having a huge staple of iconic characters to draw upon certainly does help. Blizzard might end up drawing Blizzard fans, and not so much MOBA fans, into the genre with this game. Each new expansion/game for Blizzard adds more potential for a new character within their MOBA that has more weight than just another character in another MOBA.

You know what the funny thing is, the vast majority of DOTA players are Blizzard fans too for obvious reasons. And it's true that most people can identify with a lot of those characters.

I hope they succeed as they seem to be trying something different. HOTS seems like a very unique approach to DOTA and not to be a direct rip off of it, read League of Legends.
