Voice-over in Quests?

gelraengelraen Member UncommonPosts: 322

Quick question for those of you who are playing the game currently (or have played the game):  Is there voice-over in some or most of the quests in the game?

I'm a long time MMO player, and I've recently been playing Elder Scrolls online.  One thing I find very immersive about that game is that there is voiceover on all quests.  Maybe it sucks a bit that they re-use the same actors too frequently, but the overall effect is pretty great.

I tried to go back and play Final Fantasy AAR yesterday and I just can't handle it anymore without spoken dialog.  Strange, because of course I've played these games in that way for years, but once you get a taste of it all being spoken it's tough to go back I think.

Anyway, would love to hear how much they use in AA.  Thanks.

The main storyline has voiceovers (short vid). It takes you though the main questline which ends at about level 30. Quest givers talk to you but it is subtle and doesn't stop you from hitting the accept button and finishing the conversation.

Unfortuntely Trion has not yet translated any of the voiceovers, so much of the story and the lore is still a mystery. This will change soon hopefully.

You can please some MMO-players all of the time and you can please all MMO-players some of the time but you can't please all MMO-players all of the time.

Ah, ok thanks.  That's a bit of a shame.  Does anyone know if the original Korean version had more voiceover or is it just the main quests in that also?
