PK, karma & death penalty (steparu's ongoing cbt2 review)

ShaighShaigh Member EpicPosts: 2,097

Read full article for more info on questing, combat mechanics and enchanting.

Players above level 40 have their character name turn purple/blue and is auto flagged for PK. PvP toggle button appears at level 40, when turned on you can target and PK other players, when turned off you can still be PK'ed.

Killing random players increase your Karma Points and turns you chaotic.

Death Penalty Simplified

1. Breaks Gems depending on the quality, some gems are more tougher than others.
2. Lose EXP (Depends on Karma Value) (Lawful 2% EXP Loss) (Chaotic 5% EXP Loss)
3. Weapon and Armor Enchants go down with Black Stones.
4. Random Items from Inventory is dropped. (Chaotic Only) (Not All Items)

The cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

    Great article

Explains a lot of things such as the tekken-like combo system

I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them

Moving up the flagging system 10 levels is sensible. The combat is very similar to dragon dogma, anyone who has played that game will find the combat appealing. True action combat unlike the soft tab targeting of the latest western mmo.

System  is almost the same like that in Lineage 2, that means it is proved and successful. And you have peace/war button from level one, it not appear on lvl 40, it seems it is linked with npc relations too, but I can not get how, because all is on korean language :) You can clean your PK points with boring quests.
