Heya!
Played the first month and a half, but quit as I didn't like everyone taking advantage of the exploitful grouping system (can't remember the name, where there's a part of the map with a dynamic event).
Also, was levelling 2 classes, unfortunately the quests are character based, so the 2nd classes had to grind to get some xp. Hated that
Is the game any different now? Any major change I should be aware of?
Thanks!

They added alot of new content and boosted xp in dungeons.
But all the thing you hated are still present and they at least at this time have no plans on changing.
So if you hated it before, you will still probally hate it now. Game is a not designed to be able to level all classes using the quest hub style leveling of other mmos. And Unfortunatly FATES (Se's dynamic events) are still the predominate form of openworld activity outside questing.
I quit a couple months ago, not long after patch 2.1 dropped, and I noticed some changes in how leveling went.
A *lot* of people stopped doing FATEs to the point where it was rare for a few weeks to get a FATE group to level with. During that time, I got used to doing dungeons with now boosted xp, the newly introduced (at that time) daily quests, guildleves, hunting log, and especially using the new 'duty roulette' system which basically gives you bonus rewards for doing a handful of dungeons and guildleves in specific level ranges per day (a low level dungeon, a top level dungeon, a guildleve, and...something else I can't remember). If I leveled other classes this way between doing max level content, I found it was pretty efficient. After a few weeks, FATE parties started picking up a bit more (though nothing near what they originally were in terms of zerging), so that was just one more source of xp to supplement the others.
So yeah, you still can't do the regular quests solely to level, but you should never have to really grind - the most grinding people do is round up a large pack of mobs to kill when they are roaming a zone as a group, and that's if you join a dedicated FATE group.
Things may have changed again since patch 2.2 hit (I don't know, haven't been playing).
