Quick CPU and GPU temperature question

Is under 50c on the GPU and CPU good while playing this game? It seems SO hot to me, I don't really know much about PCs and my friend came round and wanted to know about my new PC, I told him my temps and he seemed surprised.
Should I be worried or are they fine?

50c is fine on both counts.
I would use some compressed air on your CPU/GPU heatsink if it is dusty at all.

For a videocard to be under 50c while playing any game is very good, and same for the GPU
but first tell us what is you Rig,

Overclocked always mean more heat, and you are under 50c

I got gtx 770 and i am at 50c while playing GW2 and its not overclocked.
My cpu is AMD FX-8350 and iam at 30c idle and around 40c While playing game. not overlocked.

Yeah, well around 25-30c. My GPU is around 30c.

If you want to reduce heat use frame limiter at 30 FPS, thats what i do, theres really no need to run at higher FPS and my temps are below 40 degrees on Phenom II @3,8GHz and R9 270x on air cooling (i started to really like frame limiters and use them in any game available).

There are some exceptions, but for the most part:
Anything under 90C is "acceptable" - most chips have an engineering limit of around 95-97C. You don't see this often except in laptops/really compact stuff, or people really pushing their overclocks to the limit.
Anything under 70C is where most people are comfortable, and this is what most OEM manufacturers will aim their heatsinks and such for (like the stock one Intel includes).
Anything under 50C while under full load is very good, and most people down around here are either shooting for a really quiet rig, or have a bit more room to bump up on the overclock.
