Links on main page should lead to stories, not more snippets.

I find it very obnoxious that every time I click on a link to an article on the home page I'm only able to read another 1-2 sentences before I have to click on another link to read the rest. Because of this I think I've read around 10 full articles since I joined in 2003.

Providing snippets on the home page is perfect, but those links should send you to the article and not more snippets.

    Can you be more specific? Links on the homepage should be sending you directly to articles.

    Can you be more specific? Links on the homepage should be sending you directly to articles.

    You have to "Click here to read more on <insert name's> article on <insert topic>"

    Yeah thats exactly what I mean. We shouldn't have to go through 2 links to get to the actual article.

    Those are feature articles. Feature articles generate news pieces that show up on our front page news roll as well. If you want to read a feature piece it will show up on the right side of the scroller under Our Latest Features. You can click the headline there to go straight to the article.

     

    Just to add, we are working on a full site redesign right now. This should all be much less confusing when it comes online. :)
