Then express yourself better. How other interpret you is the key ... not how you know you feel. This is the key to communication. Saying something "sucks" globally is the practice of a child. I in fact likely gave you the best reply you ever read as I was trying to convey to you the essence to why you continue to argue with people here without resolving any point you bring forward.
You continue to portray opinion as fact through blanket accusations like the game "sucks" or is "bad" without explanation. That is your mistake. How is something bad? Does it not work? Does it steal your money or give you wedgies? You imply something bad is bad for everyone. How does it suck? Does not do what you want it to do? Do you prefer licking? Using slang or insult is universally a poor choice of expression.

Who cares? its none of their business as to what an individual likes or dislikes. As long as he is not deciding for you (what you should like or dislike) a person has the right to say something is terrible or crap.
Like i said earlier. My girlfriend simply refused to play ESO with me given that we always play together. She said it was a terrible MMO. Its her opinion..who am i to say its a bad form. She is not hurting anyone now is she?
Fans really need to cool down (not saying you). People who go completely cuckoo when someone says something negative about their game gives rest of us normal fans a bad name.
Labeling them as trolls, F2P trolls or whatever labels fans like to give.. is not cool.
I am not bothered if someone says game is crap because i know we are all different. It is a grown up thing.
The guy said he was confused.... I explained the problem people were having with his choice of words.
I'd also point out that your girlfriend said that in a situation between you and her, so of course there's not much reason or need, nor possible intriguing result in asking for clarification in such a situation. That's a bit different than adding your thoughts to a group discussion like this.

what? the reply to you made about my expression of opinion was literally the first post i made in this thread.
I never expressed thats what is bad to me is bad to others, i never went into detail about what aspects i do or dont like, i merely said in my opinion there are some aspects of the game i find good and bad. my communication is fine, you're confused with whom you are replying to.

This part really deserves it's own reply... You're on a public forum, you're offering your opinion up as a continuation of a topic when ever you make a post. You can say what you want, just as anyone can say what they want in response to what you said. It's an open discussion other than chosen topic (stay on topic) <---not that people care about doing that... This is a thread simply telling people to have fun after all, yet here we are discussing this..
Point is, you are forgetting where you are, this isn't some conversation in passing between a GF and BF or a couple friends. What you say and how you say it are the key to all of this...

I bet no matter how one says that they dislike this game or its terrible someone is gonna flip out regardless. So yeah a person can try but he is not going to get far.
The whole discussion was about one individual saying that 'anyone who says this game is terrible are liars, morons, asshats etc etc'. You cant have a civil discussions with people like these who are so emotionally vested in a video game.
I cannot stand when people say unjustifiable monthly cost..as if you deserve to get games for free. Companies dont have to justify costs of any game. Its a product. you have to buy it period. MMOs have always had subs so stop acting like its some new thing cause its not. If you want a good MMO you pay for it to survive and grow.

I don't disagree, the opposite also applies ( the same goes for the positive end of the spectrum). There are always going to be people who take what you said to whole other levels you never even implied in an attempt to sour the conversation... It's just the way it is in places like this.
I just want to say some people really do get angry about this type of thing, IE calling everything you dislike crap. It's a myopic view, it's a common thing for humans to look down on that type of attitude. Granted that doesn't excuse calling people Morons or idiots for sharing such views, that's certainly worse behavior and contradicts any posturing of a higher ground.

All i have is the truth..your buying GW2 in ES clothing...buy it... play it, in 2 months you will agree. you haven't stated anything, other than defending a game that hasn't even revealed itself to you..it has to me..same with 13 months of Wildstar, same crap, different name. Like i said, if your about the themepark, rock on with it. Us old timers expect more of the industry..and thankfully its swaying that way

I'm not trolling or being sarcastic. I hope it's a great launch and many enjoy the game.
Except that everyone here does like MMOs. Most of them even like themepark MMOs (so you cant distinguish that they like different types of MMO). Which means that they honestly think that the game is of poor quality - not that it is high quality but just not appealing to them.
You might disagree, as others have said, even quality is subjective. Your view of what makes a quality MMO might be different to theirs. Your view of what makes a quality house might be different to mine. The bottom line is that people are free to say that they feel this game is of poor quality, and not have it disputed as simply not being to their taste.
For instance, I think the animations are the worst thing I have seen since TSW. Does this make the game simply not to my taste? Well I suppose if there is some group of players who appreciates poor quality animations, then you could say so. I also think that the quest dialogue is very poorly written. Again, this isn't a taste issue, I love fantasy themed RPGs, and I love lore and quests - so my issue isn't with taste, its with quality.
Anyway, again its all subjective. Just pointing out that having a different opinion isn't always based on taste, its also based on perception of quality. Hope everyone who thinks the game is good enjoys the launch.
