should i buy AC2 or not? hmmmmmmm big decision, looks good any1 help me here?

    I played AC1 for a year and a half, and was a huge fan.  Like most AC1 fans (most people for that matter) I was really disappointed by AC2.  It is fun for a while but is a kind of shallow game.  If you have a broadband connection you can try and download it and play free for 15 days, but I was unable to successfully download (even with cable).

       NO AC2 is not worth buying or playing.  Not that it matters it will soon be gone and the MMORPG world will be better off for it.

    Ok looks like I am going to be putting this on a number of these threads as the threads put similar points, so apologies if you have read it before:

    Name the game which is better than AC2 for:

    Graphics

    Massive changes to game world on a regular bases without having to pay for a new CD.

    Not bad solo, good grouping.

    Best chat system.

    Anything with better emotes?

    Anything got a better hierarchical guild structure?

    Quest count 74+ real quests. 80+ quests of those kill something then kill some of these type of “mini quests”.

    Any games with more video (still frame) sequences?

    Any game got a better transport system or mounts?

    Don’t get me wrong I don’t think AC2 is the best at everything, but a solid all rounder which is good in almost all areas. I think EQ has a better community, Ultima Online better roleplay and DAOC better pvp. But think about those games, how many things are they better at than AC2 on the above list.

    Is there any WORIKNG mmorpg with a lower population? All servers combined can not brake 1200 peps!

    I was playing yesterday and there were 950 on one server and 800-ish on another, that breaks 1200 easy... not to mention the two other PVP/KVK servers.

    Scot is correct, can't ever remember reading a bad review either.

    Every mmog should have alternative ways of pay, like game cards, and I'm talking the one or two month veriety and they would see a huge increase in population with any game.

    The biggest mistake I ever made was buying AC2. I've been playing AC1 for over a year now and absolutely love it even if its graphics aren't up there with all the MMORPG's coming out. AC2 dissapointed me big time!!!

     

    My point is this....Scot left out one (and most important) aspect of the game......FUN, because AC2 doesn't have it.  AC2 is the same thing over and over and over and....... to me the fun factor is what I look for most. That's just me though.
