In this thread I will you guys some background and some information about Orbit and why you should join us.

1. History

Orbit was originally formed in 2007 whilst preparing to play Age of Conan, and proceeded to excel in the game and deliver awesome results on our server. After the downfall of AoC in the following months we dabbled from game to game.
In 2011 when they released SWTOR we where once again ready to pick up the reins and embark upon another frakking epic journey.

Be it owning end game content, story and hard modes alike or facing the daunting odds of 15 vs 40 on Illum we excelled in all the areas that we choose to enter, until finally quitting the game upon realizing it’s many shortcomings we decided in march 2012 to go in active, with no interesting games on the horizon at that point until now, we have decided to again open our doors for another epic frakking journey!

2. Mission statement

So you might be wondering what exactly we can offer you ? While most guilds at this point would be telling you about their X amount of years playing games, and how their environments are sooo drama free and how simply great it is to join them and that they are simply the hottest shit since sliced bread.

With the above in mind, it is true that any guild, including Orbit wishes to use every marketing ploy possible to obtain as much of a power… err… as large a member base as we can, ultimately that is why guilds are here. We feel that most can relate to joining guilds and meeting nothing but empty promises, Guild leaders giving his friends and or officer preferential treatment and that the guild masters girlfriend in fear of not getting laid, ensures that raid spot even though she might not actually be qualified for it.

So with that in mind, we are not going to promise you anything, what we are going to do is…

1. Attempt to create a drama free environment – This does not mean we wont have drama, of course we will have drama, when you bring people of different cultures and backgrounds together misunderstandings and mishaps are bound to happen, however we will solve this like adults together.

2. We will always strive to be fair, In Orbit we won’t promote people unless they are qualified for their jobs, do not fear the GM giving out Epics to his girlfriend…. He does not have one

3. We will always work hard to create as fun an environment as possible, we are here to have fun but at the same time we will always be ready with our game-faces when we are doing serious content, be it Cyrodiil or end game PvE.

4. One thing I am going to promise… (Self contradicting now, we know ^^)
Lot’s of fraking killing…. Lot’s of it ! Cyrodiil here we come !

3. What kind of players are we ?

We are the kind of players that love to fight in groups, be it PvP or PvE, we do not scare in the face of adversity and we love when the odds are not in our favor.

We are not afraid to say that we pride ourselves in being very competent gamers, and as such these are also the kinds of players we seek, whether you play 30 or 60 hours a week is largely irrelevant to us, as we firmly believe that the amount of hours you spend in a game does not necessarily reflect upon your ability as a player.

We are organized and strategic, and a lot of our time will be spent discussing the latest developments within our game in order to be on the forefront in regards to game mechanics.
As such we are a group that is very much interwoven in to the community of any game we are playing.

4. Closing words…

At this point you might be wondering why it is we have talked so little about what we are going to do in game, and why we have not mentioned our previous exploits in greater detail that we already have.

Simple, While in lieu of more common recruitment threads we choose to focus on the future, we want you to join us and help us shape the future of this community, we want you not only to join to play with us but to have a great time lol’ing around on Teamspeak.

That said, As a community we have always been a community that did everything the game threw at us, PvP and PvE, as such we do not demand that you love both aspects of the game, but it would behoove you to consider this as, if you shun not being able to raid everyday, perhaps we are not going to be the right home for you.

With the above in mind, we have always been a community that did everything the game threw at us, we do it… and we do it well, We do not brag about it, we simply do it !
