I was just reading an article about sony making a fee-free mmo

I was wondering if you guys know anything about the game.

    I read somewhere that a game thats pay to play will become free in 06. I can;t find where I read it, or what game it was.

    In the meantime I'm going to keep playing Guildwars::::01::

    I've heard about that too...I think it's not really a rumor, more of a piece of info being passed around. I'm surprised there aren't more details on this supposed game.

    PlanetSide is going to have a free version, much like AO's basic accounts I believe.

    There's a a free MMO out right now called MapleStory (www.maplestory.com - must be viewed in IE). Thus far it's not bad. It's a 2D sidescroller. It's pretty different, but its totally free so I mess around on it sometimes.

    There was a good article on the MMORPG.com main page about advertising in MMOs. I think this will be the driving force in "free" MMOs.

    im guessing cus its sony, itll be Starwars galaxies, because that game will also be sold on the xbox or something, so i heard

    Look for yourself, type in www.planetside.com, and see it redirect to planetside.station.sony.com. I think that answers your question

    I tried to download Maple Story on my dad's computer but it didn't quite work out. I'm going to try it again on my laptop at some point after break assuming I get any time between studying and going to classes and writing papers for all my professors. Ah the life of a college student! image
