What is confirmed:
-New Races
-New Classes(Assasin is one)
-New storyline
-New weapon types(possibly dual wielding)
-Auction houses
-Many many new skills

No. At this time its very unlikely. The cause?
ArenaNet has a policy - Unlike most other MMORPGs and online RPGs like Diablo and NWN, Guild Wars will not force it's playerbase to buy new expansions. If that was the case, then there would be little difference between paying for an expansion every half year and a subscription fee.
If they added new levels and stuff they would imbalance the game for people who wished not to buy the new expansion. Also, all expansions in Guild Wars are being worked on to work with each other and without each other.
Really I dont think you can say that GWs expansions. They are more like stand alone additions.
If you dont like chapter 2 or find it interesting, then dont buy it. It wont make you weaker. There will be new weapons, loot, armors and skills but none of them will be overly powerful. Again, lvl 20 is a number. A useless number. It is irelevant if that number is 20, 200 or 2000. If a person will only play a game to lvl up and not to play just for the sake of having fun killing monster and doing quest, then the designers have failed in making an experience that is fun regardless of being awarded with little silly useless amount of xp.
A lvl cap might go to 30 some day. But if it will it will most likely be a free update so everyone can benefit from it.
Also what is conformed:
-there will be tons of new customization in the guild halls.
-Training areas in guild halls is on the way
-more emotes is coming. We should expect to see stuff like /cry and stuff
-town cloth
-many more pvp areas. Even sooner than we think
-more regions will soon join the fight. Taiwan, China and Japan are some.
Remember that GW was made so you can skip chapter 2 if you dont like it... and then buy chapter 3 if you want that instead. you wont have to buy everything and feel underpowered. GW is about skill and strategy.
Also, in chapter 2 we should expect to see many more new gameplay options. New ways to quest and new kinds of objective. Gailie calls it "a hole different game".

I believe we will see new races in game but I think human is still the only playable race. I have not seen any info to point that there is new playable races.
If you mean by downloadable (free) then no. As mentioned, this new chapter will be completely stand alone, so you are not really "re-buying" it either. The new chapter will allow you to bring your characters and items over and change your secondary to either the assassin or the ritualist. It just gives you more options like any good game should. You are obviously not at a loss of options for skills in a character build, although if you hang around tombs too long you begin to feel there are only about 8 different playable skill sets, the expansions will just keep on adding to the "core" characters. I believe the best aspect of the new expansion will be that there will be much more competitivness as people decide which faction to join and battle it out for territory. The choices you make are going to go more towards the outcome of certain aspects of the game.

About new professions, so far all that I have heard about specifically is an Assassin profession in the new expansion. Also, if you really want to get a sneak peak on what's to come in Factions, then GW is having a combination preview/PVP-Free-For-All this weekend (January 20 - 22), where players can try out the new professions and all visit the new PVP CONTINENT!
And just to point this out to some ppl who are on this list, I found all of this out from MMORPG.COM. If you want to stay up to date, you may just want to get GW updates emailed to your account.
Now, the real question I have about the expansion is how much will it cost. My current theory is that the pricing will be similar to the DOOM3 setup, which is $49.99 ($39.99 now) for the core, then about $29.99 for the expansion. However, I recently glimpsed a preorder on ebgames and the price was $49.99. Does anyone know anything more about this? I really hope it doesn't end up costing this much for each expansion.

i see some very disturbing things in this thread
for start, i don't know where the guys get it but there is no new race confirmed
you will still only be able to play with humans, nothing more nothing less
about the profession'S'
there will be 2 new professions

like he said the Assassin will be among those new professions but there is a second one as well
the ritualist, some sort of mix between ranger, necromancer & monk
some spirits (not known if they'll move or be stationary) some healing, some direct damage spells ...
about the auction houses
euhm, really don't know where you got that idea
there were some rumours about those things but nothing confirmed
gaile once told us: there will most likely be a more advanced way of trading, but the feature which let you watch pvp matches from other players has a mutch higher priority
so that was about the last time i heard about this "auction" or "advanced trading system"
we all have to guess now, we all know the feature of spectating high ranked pvp battles is "finished" or almost....
maybe they'll create something for the advanced trading now, but if it'll be an auction house, i doubt it.
about the price of the expantion packs
arenanet always told us that the price of the expantionpack would be similar to any other gameexpantion so basicly if you say doom 3 expantion is 30$ i think thats mutch already
i know other expantions that are only 20$
so my guess it'll be between 20 & 30
to be honest i wouldn't mind the expantion to be 30$ or more
i'd buy it anyway, the post above with the poll about that monthly fee or expantions
well if you can count:
monthly fee 10-15$ / month
expantion (most likly to be released about 10-12 months after the game release: 20$-30$
do your math
even if monthly cost is 10$ if you count that for 10 months thats 100$
the expantion will NEVER be that expensive!
