Can i build by the sea?

So when Alpha starts (looks like tonight :) can i stake a claim by the ocean? Every video i have seen has been people buidling on top of mountains , Has anyone seen or heard or know if there is tropical terrain/envirment in game ? My vision is to build a Kings landing esque tower with my own Iron Throne that i can sit upon like the Great King Jeoffory from Game Of Thrones

    I suspect it be Monday for everyone not going to the SoE thing, Ok back on topic as for water they currently from what i know havant got it working to how they want it to work atm so thats why you havant seen any water in any videos they shown, I garantee you will be able to build near water/ocean and all that they just havant shown it yet cause water isnt finished yet to where they feel confotable in showing it off.
