I left MxO about 6 months ago,and really want to come back but if the bug where you log in and the game just freezes,and all the lag problems and such are still there I'm gonna wait.I need some feedback on how MxO has changed,and any bugs that have ben solved.

    Kind of debating whether to give MXO another try ot not since I cancelled SWG (again)..  Always like to have a second MMoRPG running when the other is down for patches, bored, ETC.

    Well maybe I can help with this. I've been playing MxO since the first round of beta, still have an active account but only due to having bought a years subscription in a fit of missguided loyalty :).

    Here's what I can tell you, performance is slightly better in some parts of the game and downright worse in others, Mara central is a great example, used to be a dead zone for lag as it's a huge gathering location, now it's actually passable for most players. But then a on the flipside, most downtown locations on jumpy and skippy, hard to play and have horrible mission bugs.

    Bugs... well take your pick, most are still around with some added in for fun. Missions still bug at random, there's still about 5 experience bugs that will stop you from attaining experience or getting very litte, all sorts of combat issues still exist which are apparently being looked into and to top it all off many of the blatant hacks are still very much so present. For example, it's a well known fact that with a fresh character and 1 million info, you can get yourself to lvl 50 in about 2 hours, this bug/hack/exploit (whatever you want to call it) has been around since beta, it's been reported and reported and reported again. Still there. Then of course there's the speed exploits, jump exploits, skill duping... /sigh, the list goes on but you get the point.

    To top it all off, live events have gone down the tubes, it's pretty much a given that MxO isn't being given the story line as "cannon" to the Matrix as we were promissed, and since you can barely effect a thing in the game world anymore, further felt by the fact that this game was "supposed" to be story driven, well basically it's adds up to being a pvp fest of who knows the most cheats to win.

    So anyways, thats my oppinion, I know it's rather grim but trust me when I say, no one wanted this game to be good more then I, probably the biggest dissapointment of my gaming experience, but oh well... life goes on.

    Don't go back. I just finished my december subscription and now I'm gone. There really is much of a change in the last few months.
