Hello!
The year is almost at an end -- and what a year it has been! Our sixth year was a very exciting one for us, and I wanted to take a moment to share some thoughts about 2013, and then, of course, talk about what’s coming up for 2014.

I planned to, but then I thought "heck, they get enough bantering and laughing and finger-pointing on both forums, why adding a 3rd one?"
I mean this part:
Housing
As I said earlier, Housing is still high on our list of objectives for the year.
it is? Really? then where is our revamp of 2013?

Game is 6,5 years old, and they only now got to Helm's deep.
In some ways I think that's acceptable. (I also tend to have more patience than most people)
Once they reach mordor "then what"?
I do agree with the idea of "more of middle earth to explore". some of my best times in the game have been in the earlier areas that seem to be there because they were made but didn't really have any purpose (not a lot of quests pointing you there, etc.)
I don't exactly like what they've done with middle earth and I'd love them to expand areas just to give us more middle earth.
As far as the housing comment above they do address that.
It remains to be seen if more time will give players better results. I do agree with the idea of better animations and god, better models. And a walking animation that doesn't look beyond ridiculous.
One time I was in one of the story "sessions" and the npc's were walking. So I set my character to walk alongside them and they look reasonably normal. I looked like I was secretly trying to spy the door to the restroom.

Looks like now that Vanguard has been closed down LoTRO is gonna be my new home as Sony got me so mad that I uninstalled even EQ1 and 2 and cancelled my all access pass.
Thanks for this info, made me realize where my subscription belongs. I know it's F2P, but VIP perks are worth it and wanna do all I can to support.
The game is going into maintenance mode (Turbine cutting down support to the bare minimum) and this makes you want to move to it?
Okay, not as poor a decision as I made moving to City of Heroes when it went F2P (only to be shut down a year later), but still...the writing is on the wall. With Turbine simply not providing promised content on several occasions (LI revamp, more hobbies, now housing), now they aren't really even promising anything major anymore.

Somebody, somewhere has better skills as you have, more experience as you have, is smarter than you, has more friends as you do and can stay online longer. Just pray he's not out to get you.
