Disregard, setting up new poll

TalonsinTalonsin Member EpicPosts: 3,619

Sorry folks, I used a quote from another site and it turned out to be wrong.  In the second quarter SV only had 572,934 SEK in NET Sales so please disregard this and I will make another poll since I cant change this one.  The ranges in the poll wont apply since the reference number was off.

@Slap,

Am I reading this correctly?

Second quarter:

Net Sales = 572,934 SEK

Profit = Negative 629,960 SEK

In order to break even they would of had to have expenses even to the sales so since they took a loss it means their total expenses were 572,934 (sales) plus losses (629,960) for a total of 1,202,894 SEK.  Basically they have twice the amount of expenses as they do sales.  Correct?

    You seem to be confused, those numbers aren't even remotely accurate. Also all funds are in SEK, which equals $.16 USD 1.00 SEK= $.16USD...................

    SV Lost more money than they had in sales for both quarters and sales dropped by over 50%. (not 15%).............

    I think OP calculation is correct. Reports show quartaly total sales. OP is comparing sales amount of 1st and 2nd quarter, sales dropped between these quarters 15% (numbers in brackets are last years numbers). As other info revenue between 2011 and 2012 dropped 21%.

    I predict that 3rd quarter will be worse than 2nd quarter because no major game updates were released in latest period. Slight increase will be recorded due to latest major update release. But significant increase in sales could be expected if Steam release goes well (Expected end of Q1/2014) and Territory control update (expected end of Q4/2013).

    You are right.. and wrong.  You are comparing the 1st half to the 2nd quarter (which is included in the 1st half).

    That said... obviously 572934 SEK for the quarter is a lot less than the 811,000 USD in the OP.  572934 SEK is actually about $89,000  :-)

    Figure about $30,000 a month in revenue which I believe also includes all the donations.

    My original numbers assumed SEK and came directly from the quote HERE.  Third post is where I quoted this from and I believe they were wrong to report it as USD, I think that number was in SEK.

    Could someone put up a link to where you are getting the 500k number for net sales from please?  Might need to adjust my poll.

    Also, if the 500k number is correct and the conversion of .16 applies, that means if we assume no donations and the price of a monthly sub is $15 then only 2000 subs exist for this game.  If you figure $2500 is donated each month out of the total net sales of $30,000 then that means about 1850 subs total.

    To break even, they have to be profitable and payoff their old debts. They can be profitable in a quarter or whole year, but they got indebt to payoff losses from previous years.
