Simple Question...simple point

Does this game require AGE VERIFICATION?

If it does it will be a success.  Trying to do WH40k with kiddie friendly graphics has been tried and failed miserably.

Make a game that does what WH40K has always done.  Violence so in depth and horrifying that it requires a mature mind to appreciate it.

If this is not what they are striving for...what is the point?

If they try to implement Chaos without a warning label...it's not chaos it's purple/pink armor with black smoke...aka WAR's travesty.

Just my 2 cents...

“Never violate a woman, nor harm a child. Do not lie, cheat or steal. These things are for lesser men. Protect the weak against the evil strong. And never allow thoughts of gain to lead you into the pursuit of evil. Never back away from an enemy. Either fight or surrender. It is not enough to say I will not be evil. Evil must be fought wherever it is found.”The Iron Code"

They've said they're pulling no punches when it comes to the violence and dark grit of the 40k IP. Their art style appears to be somewhat close to space marine, but all we have to go on is a screen shot of an incomplete black legion chaos lord, so take that with a grain of salt.

I have no idea, however, how they would effectively enforce an age requirement for an online game. Kids are habitual liars and parents are too stupid to RTFM to see if their kid should be playing a particular game.

as long as there is full glorious violence and the depravities of slanesh and an nc 17 rating on the box, then all is well.  if people let kids get ahold of it its their fault, not ours or the games.  you can properly warn them that they will be scarred for life but some will only take it seriously upon the infliction of the wound.

I really don't see how you can make a game where the core mechanic is using a chainsaw-sword to split your enemy in half, be kid friendly.

They might have to do something like that for an Austrailian release though.  Their censor board are convinced all gamers are psychopaths that need to see just ONE drop of blood to go on a murder spree.

Dreah I'm yunk, wazzit matter to you?

I dunno, if they were to adequately portray Slanneshi worship, they would DEFINITELY need to register this game as legitimate pornography, and probably receive a fair amount of picketing from women's rights activists. Probably better for all involved if they mellow out the grand rape-orgy a bit.
