I was just wondering, is it possible to win the first match? Every time I got to that point, I always lost it. I know I'm not that good at Blitzball, but it almost seems impossible.

Is it possible to win the first game you play of blitzball?

    if you mean the tournament, then yes you can i won it, and the trophey is cool, huge. the easiest way is to get the special move when that the father does, the oportunity you have beofre the match.

    yes it is very possible but it is not done very easy. the best way would to get his fathers shot on the boat it still isnt easy after that.

    It is very doable, and yes you will most likely require Jecht Shot as well as strategical usage of Sphere Shot. You will also have to be very close to the goal when shooting. Try to save Tidus's HP until he needs to shoot as well. It isn't a major victory, and doesn't change much storywise, so if you can't get it after a try or two you may as well just skip it.
