Really hope they keep the Ratonga!

Right now there is a poll at the EQNext website asking if Ratonga should be included. https://www.everquestnext.com/round-table?poll=ratonga-in-eqn

im concerned why the question was even asked. I mean its one of the most adored and roleplayed races in EQ2.
No other race come close to being as fun to RP as a ratonga, makes me wonder how much they consider a roleplayers perspective in EQnext, i guess is my concern.
If the furry fanatics vote like crazy, maybe Ratonga will get in.
If, by going with the lore stating EQN is EQ reboot, ratonga should not be in, since it is not in the original game. Iksars or sarnaks will be a better representation.
The possibility of the universe collapsing into a singularity is higher than the birth of a perfect MMORPG.
I think they will. The poll is positively swayed in its favor. Besides, if Cloudrat has her way she'll pester the Dev's incessantly until they're in.

ya it is nice
in a game like eq2 that really wasnt known for its personable characters, the ratonga really stepped outside that box. the sarnak, id give a close second but still nothing like the personality of the ratonga

I have no issue with the Fae, but I really dont care if they are in game or not and I dont think they are na essential race.
I also left Half Elves off the list because they always seemed pointless to me. Unless they give em cool lore, leave em out.

Ratonga were Chetari in the original EQ. EQN is also a different game with different lore.

Let me put your mind at ease. All you have to do is put 2 things together, then it becomes clear that they will be 100% in the game.
Look at the goofy cartoonish graphics.
Now, Look at how goofy and cartoonish Ratgonga are.

Over here, heads are exploding because the graphics are cartoony and don't have the gritty realism of the previous EQs.
Meanwhile, in an alternate universe, there's overwhelming interest in adding the Ratonga to EQN, the most cartoony race in EQ lore. Well, neck and neck with the frogloks.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
