Something odd about the character designs

I remember a while back that someone was playing this game in korea and the character that he played which was a kinda ruined it for him because most characters look Asian? he wanted to make his character more European or something. He didn't mean anything bad about anything else but to create a unique story. He tried it out and had other issues with but that's his opinion. I'm not sure if this is true but I wonder if there's a way to toy around the facial features in the character creation section?
