StarForge (a legitimate sandbox) Question About Multi-player Servers

I saw StarForge (Alpha) available on Steam (http://www.starforge.com/), and I was wondering if anyone has it.  If so, is multi-player up and running yet?  I saw on their site in F.A.Q. it says multi-player will be up in early 2013, but we know how that goes with game development.
