in EVE Online
21 days from my friends buddy invite.
Then EVE Online 30 Day Free Trial Code: Once your trial subscription expires, you can upgrade your trial account to a full paid subsciption by purchasing an Eve Online Game Time Card and entering the code on theAccount Management page. In total 81 days... Hope im correct on this??

My understanding is your wrong on this one,
Basically its either and or not both. so you can have the 21day free trial - IE i send you buddy invite, then when you sub i get 30days game time so in lieu of this i send you say 200mill isk
or you can start by using the starter pack which for £5 gives you 60days game time, but you cannot sadly do both.
the buddy invite i find is best for starting alts because of hte free game you get on your main accounts - I buy sell accounts and it works wonders.
Of course when people want to try the game I happily send them over invites and reward them if they go full account with some isk - usually about 40-50% of the plex price
This post is all my opinion, but I welcome debate on anything i have put, however, personal slander / name calling belongs in game
where of course you're welcome to call me names im often found lounging about in EvE online.

I can't say I've tried, but it states pretty clearly that those starter kits only work on *new* accounts, and I'm guessing the trial code is the same.
There is good news though, you can get the starter kits from Greenman games for $4 if you use the code GMG20-6WUSQ-LBC4U at the checkout. And you can use the same code to get 20% off the time cards too, which would make 30 days.....$16, and 60 days......$28 I think.
