How is the population in this game? How is the population spread out (Like most players being in the starter towns)? I do not want to invest time in the game if there is no players later in the game.

After playing this weekend I can say that population seems to be decent, even surprisingly good .. there were plenty of people in Midway and Embry (started a new character, this is as far north as I got so far). A fair amount of chatter in Global/Help and a GM was often around joining in. Friendly bunch as usual.
Few players in some of the surrounding towns, but this game is pretty huge and these are "low-level" areas that were formerly starting zones .. i.e. nothing leading players there.
