How do skill power levels work now?

In Darkfall 1.0 it was 25, 50, 75, 100.  Someone told me that they changed it to 20, 40, 60, 80, 100.  Is that true?

    10, 20, 40, 70, 110, 120, 130, 140 in a stat to get access to gear

Not sure the exact numbers on skills, but skill levels virtually do not matter anymore. 90% of you character's effectiveness comes from stat and booster combination. Those numbers "seem" right though.

Yes.  Damage is 1 for every 20 points in a skill. Where as you get 1 damage for every 5 points in your primary attribute.

changes from skill to skill, transfers still seem to be every 25, but for instance weapon mastery seemed to scale so 33 = 1 damage, 3 = 0.1 damage etc. more points is always more damage.

edit: above post is wrong. but feel free to test for yourself ingame its quite easy to do so. 5 attribute = 1 damage. skill effect depends on the skill type like I said.

Skills used to scale at every 25 points.  For example, at 3 points in Sword skill you were in the lower end of 11 - 22 damage (not exact numbers from the past).  At 24 points you were at the high end of 11 - 22 damage.  When you moved up one point to 25 the scale moved up to 19 - 29 damage. At 25 you were at the low end of the new scale which has a slightly lower than max amount of damage.  At 49 you were back at the high end of the scale.  At 50 you got a new scale and were at the low end of it.

From what I was told the scale moves up every 20 points in a skill now instead of 25.  So its better to move skills to 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 as you level them up using prowess.  Leaving one at 11 and another at 50 keeps you at an odd place in the scale.

Primary Attributes i.e. Strength/Dex/Int/Wisdom scale on every 5 points for whatever ability they are linked to.  So for instance a warrior with 100 strength does one more melee damage than a warrior with 95 strength.  A skirm with 100 Dex does 1 more bow damage than a skirm with 95 dex.  This is per shot or swing or cast or whatever.

The skills still scale on every 25 points so 25, 50, 75, 100.  At the mastery level they increase every 33 points so 33, 66, 99.  So by having say your greatsword mastery maxed or your bow mastery maxed or whatever this will increase your damage output by a total of 7 per swing shot or w/e.

putting points in your class skills is the equivilent to putting a points into talents in WoW.

You get 0.5 seconds off a casting time, or 2 seconds off a cooldown.

It's not a lot but overall, it adds up to a smoother playing character.
