I've just discovered today someone has reached the center of Peter Molyneux's Curiosity game. For those who are not familiar with Curiosity, it was a giant cube composed of other cubes, that were also composed by other cubes....and so on. The goal was to destroy every layer of the cube to reach the center, and players were able to purchase stronger "pickaxe" (don't remember what they were called) with real money to be able to destroy more cubes per click. The catch is that only 1 player could reach the center and discover the reward, after which this would signal the end of the game for everyone.
Well the center has been reached, and the reward is...odd. The player will now take the role of "God" is Molyneux's upcoming game called "Godus", where he will be able to dictate the rules under which players will play through. What's more, is that for every sales of Godus, that player will receive a small cut of the money.
You can watch Molyneux's video (22Cans company) here : www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhzb9OUWrXU
Suffice to say, Molyneux has a pretty unique way to look at games. No wonder that Peter Molydeux twitter spoof came to life.
