Looking for a new game

I need suggestions for a new MMORPG. SOE has eliminated several elements from SWG that attracted me to the game.

I would like to play an MMO with the following characteristics

1. A very strong economy for player made goods. Crafted => Loot items.

2. Persistent player housing in which items can be placed. Player Cities would be nice too.

3. The ability to develop crafting and combat skills.

4. A good system for gathering raw materials from which to craft goods. I'd especially like a game that allows players to set up persistent mines, mills, refineries, or factories.

5. Vehicles and mounts.

6. Multiple professions from which I can pick and choose the skills I would like to develop.

So, any games with any of these characteristics out there?

The only game i can think of that meets most of your requirments is EQ2, apart from that not alot of games have all those things in but just the odd few, so yeah id recommend EQ2 its also a very good game and of course the amazing graphics are a nice bonus. Goodluck with whatever you choose.

    *Edit*

There is also Horizons which has a amazing crafting/housing/building system, many people would agree on that, the only problem is the game seems to lack in other areas and it has a very small community, saying that, the community is very friendly indeed. Once again goodluck.

    Thanks

    Garrik

Well the game that leaps to mind to meet your list is Saga of Ryzom.

    1. A very strong economy for player made goods. Crafted => Loot items.

In SoR there are really no looted items (except a few boss armours), all items are player crafted.

    2. Persistent player housing in which items can be placed. Player Cities would be nice too.

You can buy your own appartment for storage as well as 3 pack animals for keeping your materials and equipment on.

    3. The ability to develop crafting and combat skills.

There are 4 main skill trees, Combat, Magic, Crafting, and Foraging. The trees all branch many times to end up with hundred of potential skills. Any player can follow whatever skills they want, each skill goes to level 250.

    4. A good system for gathering raw materials from which to craft goods. I'd especially like a game that allows players to set up persistent mines, mills, refineries, or factories.

Crafting materials are either harvested via the Forage skills or quartered from killed mobs. Each crafted item is made from a number of different types of materials of which there are many choices and qualities. An items stats are different based on the materials used to craft them.

    5. Vehicles and mounts.

No Vehicals but you can buy a mount and ride about as well as having 3 pack animals you can load up with fodder and materials

    6. Multiple professions from which I can pick and choose the skills I would like to develop.

As above no professions, just use the skills you want to level and build character as you desire. So if you want to be a crafter follow the craft skill tree, which brances into melee weapons/Armour/Jewels at 20, they branch at 50 into subtrees again at 100 etc, end up with separate skill for each weapon and different piece of armour etc.
