The Return of the Crystalline Entity

Looks like a remastered version of the Crystalline Entity event will be making its way to Holodeck on Thursday as a part of a special event.
An event rep system is also being added. Pretty cool.

Return, with another "log in every day and do the same thing over and over again to get something in the end" grind cycle like the skating was in the last winter wonderland...
only this time the aforementioned "same thing" is not a 2minutes long, somewhat fun daily, instead a 10-man required 30-45min shoot-out... so not only log in every day, but sync your timeframe with friends / fleetmates, or be prepared for pug's.
I know that nowadays every game wants to tie players to the game and suck out every bit of free time from them, and I still love STO, but I guess I won't even try to get the Crystal Shard pet. Good luck though to captains who will hop on to the treadmill
Speaking of pets, it worths mentioning that the very same day (04.11) is the end of the current event, First Contact day (or Day of Honor for klingons). So anyone who missed it last year, there's still 2 days left to get the Phoenix pet / Tritanium Bat'leth for their captains.
Well, it's started and with the expected 50k dilly packs which will hit the market if enough players would farm the Crystalline Entity every day, the Exchange-players already jumped into action... (dilly rates dropped from around 99-100 to the 115-117 area)
Luckily I swapped a chunk of dilly into Zen before that
