First 14 minutes of the TV show. Looks good.

 In case anyone is truely wondering about the quality of the TV show. www.syfy.com post a video of the first 14 minutes of the pilot. 

 I was expecting poor acting, and bad CGI so I was pleasntly surprised by what I saw, the first song was one of my favorites too, so glad they went musical with this. 

 

 And to the trolls desperate to hate anything new, I expect you to come bash the CGI and acting no matter what happens, but I honestly think this preview shows a lot of promise for the TV show, it looks like they invested alot in this show.

    After watching the 14 minute clip, I was fairly impressed. I wasn't sure how thick the CGI would be laid on, and the scene when it shows the vehicle driving through the terrain, well, it surprised me by not looking completely like a SyFy budget flick. The acting wasn't bad, and actually, I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would based off of the trailers all over YouTube.

    Enjoying my time on the X360 beta, can't wait for the show to premiere and the title to launch. Should be a fairly entertaining experience.

    Anyone besides me go "Hey, they stole that from me" when they brought out the crystal? Was nice to see a bit of how the show and the game will tie in :P

    You should rename the thread because I think its something people looking at the game should see. It shows the quality of the show a bit but also shows off the tie in between the game and the show a little. If I were still on the fence about getting the game (I already bought it :P) this would have likely pushed me into the buy camp.

     Okay, thought I was being funny but I think you are right, at this point it would be better to see if it might sway a few people.

    Thank you, good sir. Thank you. I bloody hate it when even something that is supposed to be a teaser / trailer isnt available in my region, lol.

    Thanks!  Find it interesting how when I go to Defiance website, it sends me to website of regional distributor for show.  Would have likely been added eventually but youtube ftw.

    Having watched this after playing the beta over the weekend, I smiled a bit when she said schtacko (however it's spelt). Could be cool seeing stuff referenced to as you watch. I just wonder if it will be good enough for people who don't play the game, to keep them interested.

    Very cool! I like that it was like playing the game. "hey its an Arkfall lets get it!" and then "Uh oh, i'm out of ammo, yay other players showed up!" :-p gonna be fun to play in the same world as the show.

    Farscape was awesome and I wouldn't be disappointed in the least if the show went in that direction. I also had a similar impression when I was playing the game. There's this small, self-serving, sniveling alien called Varus that shows up as side character in the main quest line that seemed to be a perfect copy of Rygel from farscape.

    Also, watching the video I got all excited when I realized I had actually done that quest in-game and watched the cutscenes. The guy in-game looks just like him! I even got his duster as a quest reward XD

    ...And now that I remember the quest, I do seem to recall it being labeled as an "episode" mission on the map. It seems to protend that more of these missions will be phased into the world as the series goes on as a way to continually add new content. Stoked <3

    I thought it was enjoyable.  More enjoyable having just played the beta and seeing a few of the connections.  The game and show do seem to compliment each other. I imagine you play the game and watch the show you will be more clued up on the lore than just sticking with one.  Looking forward to both the game release and the show.
