You guys in California pay up the nose for EVERYTHING

A house that sells for 850K in california sells for 200K in Maryland. I will never live there. I saw a bungalo (a little spanish 2 room cottage) sell for 650K in a suburb of Los Angeles. A 3 story, 4 bedroom townhome right across the street of the US Supreme Court in DC was 350K (a friend with a few others bought the house...they're Senate Interns). Everything in California is way too overpriced. Its like New Jersey, but just on the otherside of the continent.

Not everything.  I grew up there and I could get good Tequilla in San Diego for $6 a bottle :)  Of course you can get crappy Tequilla there for $3 and after three or four shots it's all the same Tequilla :)

I moved to Wisconsin.  I'm paying less on my mortgage here than I paid for a loft apartment in LA. :)

....if you cant figure out why I posted that then i dont need to explain it to you because you'll never get it.

    .....well....Ill TRY to explain it.

You see...your country is roughly the size of one of our states....and not even a big state. Maybe the size of Pennsylvania but a little bit larger.

When we go to see grandma or grandpa some of us drive to the equilvent of you driving through your country three times. The U.S. does more driving per capita than any other nation in the world. We driver per car per mile than any other person in the world.

Therefor, our gas prices need to be low. How many times have you driven from Denmark to the northern edge of England and back? Ive done the equilavant of this in the US three times already this year and it sucks. And it does help that our gas prices are low.

In other words, when I drive more in 3 years than you will in your whole life please do not call the US whiners when it comes to gas prices.

Also, Im sorry that your Government is screwing things up for you guys. Just vote a more democratic leader during the next elections or lobby to get someone to run who supports lower taxes. But, as Denmark being a socialist country, your taxes are on par with many other socialist countries and at least Denmark has one of the higher end salaries than many other countries in Europe.

You get a free medical plan and education no?

Well its normal for Gas priced to vary from State to state and from Country to country. I know here in Canada Taxs make up a large part of the price we pay at the pump. It's 88.2 cents a liter here in my town. But my parents are paying over a dollar a liter in a different provience. Also I'm not sure if you have gas prices governing boards but where my partents are living the price of gas at all stations is decided by the board and all station's can't charge more then the set price. Well thats life....

OR, move here to sweden and pay 5$+ TODAY.. :)

    Probably more like 6

Just so you guys know, 1 LITRE is .264 GALLON.

So for any of the people who put under $1.50 or so is probably doing this in litres.

    So, $1/litre = $3.79/gallon.

Canadians pay much more for gas than most of you americans.

I'm paying about $1.20/litre where I live, which equals to $4.54/gallon.

    Oh joy.
