You know I believe him, I have a friend who started playing GW2, was consumed by the new MMO smell, bought gold, crafted up 4 80s, joined a heavy WvW guild on SBI, played for like a month non-stop, then came in vent one day, started raging the game is a piece of crap, un-installed it from his computer and started playing TERA again.

Some people are very interesting indeed.

You know, I don't believe him, and I don't believe you either.  Make a difference? No.   So regardless of the potential for it to be valid, it still makes little sense.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

played it since release, 3 lvl 80's

    the game is trash.

deeper game than GW2?  -- easy, path of exiles, Doac, SwG, UO, EQ2, Lineage 1/ 2, even runes of magic.

love the you don't drink the kool aid you never played it argument.

bug again, as i care nothing for the account, duel me for character deletion.. unless you are scarred?

I've stop reading after seeing he included those 2 games. Path of Exile and Runes of Magic have more depth?? LOL yeah maybe in the form of character specialisation but that's about it. And in case you didn't know, the most choices you gives for character specialisation, the more chances the game will be a lot more imbalance for PvP.

And WoW's arena better than GW2 sPvP?? Yeah like the arena's map were any good. Any devs can create a small square put a bridge or some pillars in the middle and call it a map... Itemization a joke? Sure it's may not have as much depth to it than most other games but to say that it does very little is completely false. Like the other guy metionned, "Itemization/build can COMPLETELY change how your class plays from glass cannon to bunker build."

I know, but i'm dead serious about my friend, he's not the only one either, I have another one who leveled a few 80s even got a damn legendary then quit calling the game utter trash for casuals and he now plays DOTA.

I swear, people have issues and this is why no MMOs retain players. I had like 6-7 friends that never came back to TERA even though they only took a break to play GW2 but didn't play GW2 either then decided to go play other stuff. Felt bad man.

If it's silent, those are the best places.

Honestly if you are feeling ballsey, letting a loud one rip in the elevator is even better! Be loud, be proud!

GW2 has large scale PVP ?

Must have been playing somthing else then the last 5 months.

maybe if they actualy made an engine that can handle large player groups but this engine cant.

And trust me it is never going to happen neither the engine just sucks.

Should have gone with eu3.5 or so that would work.

(even when its from 2004 it would look better to).

    From OP:

This is a great game for a first time mmo player, to teach them the bare minimum a game can offer and be a mmo, but for any depth look elsewhere.

    Well said.

    2. Its better than DAOC in more ways than its worse. Rose colored glasses bro

With this statement, you invalidate any credibility you have on anything you say in the future about MMOs. Seriously, educate yourself on our genre, I'm not going to be gentle about this in any way. There is no MMO out there currently that is even remotely close to the rvr/pvp quality of DAoC, NOTHING. GW2 can't even address simple graphics issues in WvWvW, and you want to say it's better? It's at the bottom of the pile of stinking refuse because of that issue alone!

Why would you not believe him? Oh because you're one of the famous fanbois of GW2 on this forum, then yes, understood.

The reality of the poster and his friend is very similar to most dedicated gamers, including myself. When we say 'giving a game a chance', we mean it. Meaning, play the game, level up and max a toon, play some end game, try and push the game's limitations, not just roam around noobie town for 20min. Some may do this multiple times. Myself I took 1 80 and 4 40s through in about a month's time.

The experience above of playing for a month, then ragequitting is about par for the course for all of us in GW2 after maxing to 80. Running WvWvW and experiencing the culling guilds using the thief exploit ...was beyond frustrating, flipping tables would not remotely satiate that kind of anger.

You invalidate yourself with your posts and posing your OPINION as some kind of fact, especailly when you didnt know WHAT exactly is the problem you were talking about and proceded to "NERF THIEVES"

    Again talk of  "depth" rofl

Please be my guest and show people that "deep" MMO thats deeper than GW2. For now all that we have been showed are games with huge idiotic grinds like EQ and such.

900 hours in 3 months is NOT "giving game a chance" rofl Its more on the "obssesive playing" side than anything else

And again with you and thief, you sure didnt learn what culling is from all your last thread, and yes, mesmers exploit culling MUCH mre than thieves, but i dont really know why im explaining to you since you cant accept you are wrong, as you admit....teh ANGER! lol
