Need help on an $800 pc

  I was mistaken he has everything except the os.  So it would be $1000 including a windows license.

  Isn't that what you said in your original post, though?

  Let me make sure I have this straight.  In the $1000, your cousin needs a Windows license, a case, and everything that goes inside the case (CPU, video card, memory, hard drive, etc.).  But he already has all of the hardware that does not go inside the case:  monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, surge protector.  Do I have that straight?
