    bittersweet new year's eve for me.  my us marine left the country a couple of hours ago. and i already miss him terribad.

    They're getting started early here. It's 11:50 and I've aready heard one semi-automatic rifle, 2 shot guns and a couple of pistols.

     

    12:03 and there have been 3 more shotguns, another semi-auto and several undetermined firearms.

    Oh, and some fire crackers as well.

     

    12:07 Everyone who doesn't own a shotgun have stopped trying to compete. At least I haven't heard any .50 calibers go off. I've also not heard anything hit the house.
