Star Wars Galaxies cheats and exploits?

I was told that using star wars galaxies cheats and exploits are against the rules, and that visting a site like http://exploitsrus.home.insightbb.com/swg.html is a violation of the terms of swg. I have cheated in games since up up down down left right left right b a start in contra..so i don't really know what the big deal is.
