will there be "realm points"?

in Elder Scrolls Online

what i want to know is will there be realm points or something similar to what Daoc had?

will there be a point to pvp at end game? or will it just be for fun and the look of your character like GW2?

    • Alliance points accumulate through killing enemies and taking objectives in Cyrodiil. This constitutes an alternate advancement system through which the player can earn Alliance Ranks. There are 23 ranks planned for launch, although this number is subject to change. (TF1)
    • Players will be able to spend Alliance Points on gear and character upgrades. The details of this system are still undergoing development and balancing. (TF1)

    thanks,i seen that a couple days ago. i just hope the "character upgrades" are similar to what Daoc had.

    i want the pvp endgame to actually mean i am still upgrading my character other than gear or cosmetically.
