I am wondering, would some of you be interested in a 2D infinite scale MMORPG with infinite levels. Randomly generated.
I am a programmer who learned who specialise in optimization and generic code and it would be a fun challenge for me to create a map generator ( minecraft, and some space games ), that would render a infinite map.
What i was aiming is : When you discover a new town, you can name it, you are the first, you decide the name.
For leveling, you could level indefinately, yea it would make some people crazy powerful compared to others, but for pve, who kinda care, even more if the map is infinite.
I would find a way to do fast travel, maybe something like instant tp to towns you already visited or watever. Anyways for now it's only thoughs.
So, would it interest anyone
P.s : btw, i'm french do not judge my grammar, and the game would be compatible on all devices ( pc, mac, mobiles )

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

This sure can't go wrong.
Loktofeit : I know there would probably big 1 big town for "trades", but yea people would be scattered all around, but it's ok, you could always push further in your exploration, I personally do not see the problem with that, my main goal is to be able to group with my friends and push in ways i never went before.
For the naming policy, I would be strict haha, having a filter in naming things is always needed, but it doesnt make it bad. IMHO
Thanks for the comments tho
You really created an account just to say that :P, but yea i know
BUT, creating a world based on a seed is nothing new, and it allows a programmer to create that world based on algorythm so everything is "humanly" possible to reach
