    I doubt it's related to the expansion for WoW, as they said they will be unveiling it at Blizzcon, and the various game mags will go to press with their previews at that time as well.

    Knowing Blizzard, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find they did it just to screw with peoples minds, and generate some free hype. Could be related to SC2, SC:Ghost(is this still in production, even? I seem to recall hearing it was axed), or something. Dunno.
