I got an ATI RADEON 9200SE 128MB, it should run smooth on WoW but will probably lag like *#^& on EQ2. Which is one of the few reasons i'm going with WoW.

I think everyone is worring too much about EQ2 being laggy. It may be but there is a very good chance it will have options to scale back the quality of the graphics and features that will make it perform well. Its also half a year off and WoW is even farther off. By the time these games come out more powerful video cards will be available and the current top ones will be cheaper.

Didnt everyone have the same worries about the original EQ? It turned out just fine.

Almost everyone is going to be scaling back the quality for EQII's graphics and it won't seem as good as in the pics. Whos knows, maybe it will run well. I hope they come out with a newer graphics card but it will be tons of money. I know for WoW even with my graphics card i will be putting the graphics to the highest possible and still should run fairly smooth.

I have a geforce 5900 ultra 256 ram. If I have problems with EQ2 I will scream....a lot.

Nice. . . really I see no point in having 256MB of RAM on a videocard... in some benchmarks the 128MB version out performed the 256MB version!!!

Can i hear RAM out there?

This game will eat ram for dinner.considering SWG needs at least 768 ram to run in crowded towns i think we can safely say 1gb for this.

Card wise - yeah geforce4ti ,their counterparts in radeon and of course the 5600 and 5900 would be ok i guess.

For sure 1ghz processor but can say ram will be a must.

No Djin I didnt build it. I wouldnt know how and would end up either electrocuting myself or breaking things.

Its an Alienware P4 3ghz with 1 gig ram, a couple Raid 0 hard drives, Geforce FX 5900 ultra 256 meg, Sound Blaster Audigy 5.1 soundcard.

Now I dont know what much of that means in detail but I think its pretty good.

So far it has been completely flawles, not the slightest video lag on anything I have run on it with all graphics options set to max. Its definately the nicest computer I have ever had. Now they just need to come out with some games that will take advantage of it.

Hmm, Im not really sure Murt. I got a MP3 player, some flash drives and other stuff at the same time so it added up to a fair amount. I think the computer itself was only about $2400. I already had a 19" monitor from before so thats not part of it.

It has other parts too of course, a dvd player, a cd burner, an upgraded power source, Alien Ice cooling system. (just reading from the order sheet thing dunno what some of this stuff is lol)

Oh, there are all kinds of ways to get money.

Is 2400 all that much for a computer? The Dell I had before was like 2000 I think and not nearly as nice and I had always heard they had good prices. I am sure you could build one a bit cheaper but I dont have any of those skills or apptitudes.
