Wizardry Online: Beta Sign Ups Begin

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it is now accepting beta testing applications for Wizardry Online, the hardcore permadeath MMO based on the Wizardry IP. Wizardry Online is scheduled for release by the end of 2012.

         Release by the end of 2012?? Wasnt this game just announced not too long ago?? Doesnt seem like a very long development time.

    I hope your being sarcastic... "announcment" != "start of development"

    If it was, you would not see the iphone 5 for years after its announcment.

    Too bad, I loved the Wizardry Series.

    On the other hand, the descriptions I've seen didn't much sound like a Wizardry game.

    Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...

    Been out in asia for ages from what I know. Anyway, cash shop items can help avoid permadeath. So that's an automatic fail in the western market.

    I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

    Shame they are turning such a well known title into a gank fest.  On top of that a gank fest with perma death.
