Guild Wars Story Questions!

Hi guys, i will be playing GW2 this August. YAY 
anyway, i'm new to GW series. I have not play GW1 before, so i have no idea what was going on in the GW1 Story, so i need a brieft summary about GW1. I know it would be hard so just make it as short as u can . And about the GW2 Story, what is it about? I know some dragons has awaken, but what exactly are we doing? I know we will kill them at the end, but how are we gonna do that? I have done some research and i came up with this, we will unite all the races together to fight the dragons. Is that correct? I played GW2 beta but i didnt pay attention to the story. .
As first i thought GW2 was like any other MMO games, but after i did more research about it, i got hooked I feel very excited about this game now about all everything it has. Especially the main story, i want to know more about the main story (thing that i've never care in other mmos). So i would be really thankful if u guys help me with this.

Haha, i know u guys will post this, i forgot to to mention that i already watched these video. Those Video are not complete yet. and i want to know all about GW NOW:D
I haven't played GW1 myself, but I heard about some lore of Palawa Joko once. Here is some info on the wiki:

He is an important character from the sound of things. The biggest threat to Tyria are those dragons, but if Joko is still alive he will be a threat.
I heard that we will be able to join certain factions too, so I was kind of looking at those 3 factions within Lion's Arch.

All of them are working to fight the elder dragons and they seem to be somewhat responsible for the alliances between races.
