Question :  What do you call a Doctor that finishes last in his class ?

    Answer : Doctor !

So you can skip a lot of classes, play GW2, and still be a Doctor.

Anyway..........Look at it this way.  It's B2P, Anet would not care if you buy it on release or two months down the line, add to the fact that EVERYONE that will buy the game anyway on release !

As a hardworking man, all i know is that most students have plenty of free time to play games comparing to people with one or more fulltime jobs.  Most people overhere in Holland with full time jobs work 60 hours a week, travel 10 hours a day, have to spend time with their fammily, which leaves them 2 hours of gametime max a day, and several more during weekends, if no fammily things are going on.

Compared to that even during their exam week most students have more time to play then us hard working people.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

average doesn't work that way, the majority of people can be in the student age while the average is far above, simple, 10 gamers 9 of them 20 one of them 90 boom average gamer age is 27 and quite misleading.

But then the fact that there are barely any MMO gamers above 50 .....

In general MMO gamers tend to be a bit older, as more youthfull players prefer true action games like FPS and such...

This whole summer, there has not been one good game....

    Do students have money?

They don't "need" money.   They have Mommy and Daddies credit card and never have to see a bill.  Seetness.

By the Christmas holiday season the GW2 launch bugs should be ironed out. Silver lining. :)

the numbers were pulled out of the air to simply dispell the "factual" 90%+ are not students JUST because the average happens to be 35 (which could be totally wrong, they never asked me).

Did they not consider that a majority of their buyers would be extremely stressed out with starting school again? Such a bad business move, they should have considered the happiness of the majority.

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

To clear a few things up, the game releases world wide and the students in the US do not equal the majority of gamers and most likely never will. It's nice that you think you're special but one of the first things you will learn when you graduate is that you are not and the honest truth is that if everyone was then no one is... here's a nice commencement speech to put it in perspective.

With that said the numbers tend to show that most online gamers are 25-40 years of age (google it), I doubt many of them are still in high-school though some might be furthering their education via other means. So no you are not part of the majority and there is a good possiblity that Arena Net thought of that when it come to their release date because the simple fact is the majority that you claim will still buy the game even if it doesn't release when they want it to.

Doesn't apply to the X and Y generation because we are not the majority parents of the millenials. 25-40 is mainly X and Y. All I read in that letter is placing the blame on everyone else for their problems. I have no kids, paid my own way, crafted my own professional image, and have no complaints. We live in a meritocracy, go out and prove yourself.

    Cheers!

Out of curiosity... did you make a "mistake" on your age in your profile, or are you really a 32 year old person still going to college... ? No offense meant, but I'm just wondering, I was kinda surprised :)
