LF: Mmorpg with a great community!

KanylKanyl Member UncommonPosts: 252

Heya!

Been playing like every mmorpg out there, but still I am looking! Right now, I am having a break from Everquest 2, which got by far the best community (a guild I am active in) I have ever seen! The guild made the gamplay a blast and a memory for life!

BUT, now I want to find another great community. First I was thinking about LotRO´s RP server: Landroval. The reason why I am negative about that, is because the game will cost me ALOT of money, if I wanna get all expansions + sub. Vanguard was another option, but too few people online and inactive guilds...meh!

What I want is a fantasy mmorpg, with a great community or a guild! I like to socialise via voice chat, text chat, do stuff together, events, roleplay and much more!

Any suggestions? Maybe YOU are in a great guild, on a specific game, that provide my likes? :)

FFXI and XIV both have good communities. Playing both atm, though XIV takes more of my time. I'm part of an active friendly linkshell on the Masamune server if you want to join.

Are you strictly looking for F2P or Freemium games?  Because my first recommendation would be LOTRO's Landroval server, as you mentioned.  However, I'd never propose the Freemium model that they have for anyone planning to play it long-term.  I'd always recommend getting the monthly sub for people looking to play the game long-term, as it will save you money in the end.

My suggestion for anyone wanting to try LOTRO is to start out F2P, which can generally get you to level 30 or so, and if you like it enough to continue beyond that, go ahead and subscribe, as it's a much better deal than buying the game in chunks with the freemium model.

Ryzom had a community that really blew me away... but a bit small.

You could give it a try, if a low population doesn't bother you.

Or you could just get the expansions as you get to that point in the content. So you would be spending what many spend but just not all at once.

Or just play f2p, spend a little bit if you want the warden or rune keeper, you will get monthly points and just spend on what you want as you go along.

Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
