Hahaha TotalBiscuit is salivating over it. I gotta agree that it looks awesome, in fact, it's one of the best looking games I've ever seen. The fact that it is alpha footage is mindblowing.

Yes, it's looking amazing. Too bad it won't launch until either November/December or early next year.

Planetside is one of the most meaningful online games I've played. I was immensely impressed to see TB also advocating and talking about how great this game was, because it was a forgotten gem when it came out. A game that the press didn't appreciate.

BF 1942 had come out the years before, and everyone were still invested in the 64 player multiplayer. Planetside was special. Nothing will ever compare to having 3 way faction battles with over 500 players fighting over a SINGLE BASE. And standing there, in a band (group of 10 players) trying to guard our hacker. Standing on 20 meter walls, and seeing the horizon getting blocked out by tanks and players parading and firing at our large desolate base.

And we're 15 minutes to aquiring it...

PS made me cynical about other games after that. No Call of Duty 4, Halo or anything else since then has been able to "wow" me. The sense of scale has only been seen in films like;

PS2 looks fantastic. I LOVE THIS. I love this neon look. I love the explosion effects. I love how the lighting and puzzle effects light up the area. I love the Tron colors, the over saturated HUDS. I love the Halo-ish traditional weapons.

I hope third-person view, character customization and melee attacks will be in. I can't wait for this game.!
