Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

There's a possible $10 USD in this for anyone who finds the game.

The details I have are sketchy at best, I played this game a number of years ago, quite a number of years actually.

I don't want a link to any RTS lists or something generic like that unless you really think the game I'm looking for is there.

And yes, the promise of $10 USD is real.

Here's the details I do have:

It was an RTS type game.

It had vehicles you could drive.

It was multiplayer.

Its graphics were akin to the level of Carmageddon or something else around the same time.

You could build oil refineries and mines and such I believe too.

It's an old game that may not be around anymore, but I really hope it is.

The only way someone's going to know about this imo is if they have played it, but if someone does know it and is first to find it, I'll mail them a legit $10 USD bill.

I could imagine you are talking about Battlezone.

It was released 1998 (the version most people mean when they say Battlezone at least), Carmaggedon was released 1997. It is an RTS/FPS hybrid. You could build stuff like units und buildings in both modes. And 14 years is old enough i'd think.

I am going to say its most likely :

    Command & Conquer: Renegade

Used to play this game years ago myself and had a blast. Good mix of RTS, Action 3rd Person View, and Vehicles to blow each other up; along with their bases.

The game didn' have combat as far as I remember, it was a mostly live and farm type game.

    Was also a PC game.

Just putting it out there, for the slim chance it could be it:

Sounds a tad like Rise of nations,

although the game has combat, you can also win games by advancing in technology.

Which I found most fun ^^

    Hmm...perhaps it's Rising Lands:

Can't drive vehicles in either of those. And wrong graphics.

New detail I just recalled it was late 90s to early 2000s because I lived up here in Sac when I played it.

Urban Assault has direct control of vehicles, has graphics similar to what you described, and came out in 1998.

Warzone 2100 is a RTS where you drive tanks and build oil refineries for resources. It was released on PC and Ps1 in 1999 and is now open-source. You can download it for free.

Was never released for another console, just PC, and didn't have much of a UI as far as I remember..
