Huxley-Nexus, a new fan site for Huxley.

As many of you may or may not be aware of, Huxley is a new MMORPG/FPS
being developed by Webzen. The game looks very promising, as it combines
aspects of a RPG in a FPS MMO game. At this time, our main website is
currently in the final stages of development. However, I'd like to take
the time to invite everyone to our forums. Visit www.huxley-nexus.com
and click on the Forums button, or the main logo. If you're interested
in Huxley, or you'd like more information regarding Huxley, please
register on our Forums. Any new content or updates to the game will be
seen first on Huxley-Nexus, as we are working closely with Webzen. Our
website is also registered as a fan site here on MMORPG on the Huxley
page.

I look forward to seeing many new faces on Huxley-Nexus.

I don't think I quite understand your last statement. "Peoples crappy serveres lagging"? Seeing how this is MMORPG.com, I'd think that many here have played an MMORPG before. This game will work in the same way. Thousands of players will connect to a single server and play together on that server.

Yes I understand that they will log onto one server but if you have a friend that has a bad connection it could essentially mess you up or ruin the experience of the online play. People lagging isn't just caused by your connection it's that and other factors such as other peoples connection and computers thats all I was trying to say.  Plus it's gonna need some kick ass hardware to run it or we are gonna get charged tons of money a month  for usin their servers.

From what i've heard about Huxley, lag shouldn't be a problem.

Not sure why they are calling this an MMO. Its not.

Guess it makes it sound 1337.

Huxley seems to be just a much less tactical BF1942 in a Sci-Fi setting.

Still that doesn't mean it won't be a decent shooter, but the fact that it's primarily an X-Box game puts me off in the extreme.

    What makes you say that?

Huxley is indeed an MMO, as it has servers that support up to 5000 players at the same time, while battles will contain 200-300 players each. That classifies it as an MMO.

Are you saying Planetside isn't an MMO?

I never really understood why they marketed Planetside as an MMO. Surely just calling it an online FPS and then casually poiinting out that it was 'The biggest FPS ever' by a long, long way would have sounded better???????

    Maybe that's just me.

Is it just an MMO or an MMORPG... Im not trying to make you sound like you dont know what your talking about but im trying to figure out what type of game it is.. Anyway it looks pretty good and I cant wait to see how it turns out.

Huxley is an MMOFPS/RPG. This means it's a:

Massive Multiplayer Online Game: Thousands of players per server, not your standard 16-64 players.

First Person Shooter: Because FPS comes before RPG in 'MMOFPS/RPG', the game is mostly an FPS.

Role Playing Game: RPG comes after FPS in 'MMOFPS/RPG', indicating that the game has some RPG elements involved, however the game as a whole is not an RPG, it's an FPS.

Maybe he doesn't spend as much time on the site as you????

I think you need to take a long hard look in the mirror before flaming others.

What does that have anything to do with it? It's common sense to not bump old topics.

No it isn't. If MMORPG.com didn't want old topics to be brought up again then they would delete them after X days. Clearly they do, therefore he is doing nothing wrong.

As long as people still want to post on this topic.. It also prevents people from making new topics on the same subject. Bet you never thought of that. ::::39::
