Let me try.. the op is saying that since it is free, the comunity in the game is going to be awful.

In otherwords, if you look at the op's post history, this is just another SWTOR kid that is afriad of GW2 for some reason so he makes a vague statement that really isnt true, but close enough. He thens implies that anyone who is looking forward to GW2 and disagrees with him is just a flaming fanboi.

Seems to more and more of these guys poping up latly.

What nonsense. I saw his psot history and he also posted on AA, WOW and other gaming forums. I love it how people bring games from past history to make  apoint as if everyone who is speculative about GW2 ia a scared fan of other MMO. Seriously..why would anyone be scared? does he and other players own stocks in these gaming companies?

If you say so.. guess we read different things.   I just read how he thinks TOR is "win" and how he is very involved in the TOR community.  Hey, if he found his game, great, but coming here and saying that the GW2 community is going to be awful, and pvp is only for those who cant cut it in "other" games.. yeah, I am sure he isnt a troll.

Or maybe someone with a different opinion? because if i follow your definiton of 'troll' i think all of us are trolls because all of us have said something negative about other games and positive things about our favorite ones. people do this all the time. you think GW2 fans don't go around telling people how much better GW2 is compared to everything else?  everybody does it..including me.

Out of curiosity, could you describe, in detail, the characteristics of this "deographic" that is just above the FTP model but not quite good enough for the monthly sub model?

    "Loading screens" are not "instances".
Your personal efforts to troll any game will not, in fact, impact the success or failure of said game.

OP conjures up impractical scenarios.  Please rename post "I don't understand" and edit the body from current to "How does the real world economy work?"

Different opinions are fine, but the guy is insulting. Basicly saying anyone who plays is "the lowest common denominator".  He flat out said that.  No problem with "I have played F2P games and disliked the community, will GW2 have the same problem?"

Also, going on and saying something like "It may not be popular around here, but I enjoy getting rewards for playing PvP" is non- trollish. Saying "GW2 will attract people who couldn't compete. They might be bright shining stars in the new GW2." is.   IF you can explain how the second qoute is anything besides a troll remark impling that anyone who plays GW2 pvp sucks at any other game, I will concide your point.

A bunch of people with no investment. "We don't really like it but don't have to pay for it". So you have people with the machine capabilites to run the game, but have little interest in its future. Many only care because they don't "have to pay".

Don't get me wrong. I love GW. I met some of the coolest people in GW. The people you meet however, will be among the afore-mentioned group, and so will you.

    good times.

I'm quite offended by this. I most certainly am not the least common denominator, and I'm looking forward to GW2. Mainly because it's a breath of fresh air in a very stagnant genre. I wouldn't want to offend anyone else by saying that WoW caters to the lowest common denominator so I'll just keep that opinion to myself :)

The OP seems to have neglected to insult the demographic of players who on principal refuse to pay $15/month for a game that has less ACTUAL content (I don't count grinding the same raid more than twice as content) than your average bargain bin console RPG.

Sorry, buddy, but I happen to enjoy this game's prospects with a passion. I definitely do have the capabilities to run the game from what we've seen so far, but I couldn't be more rabid about it's future, and I'll certainly be investing in the cosmetics in the cash shop, as well as a bit of gold to do a bit of economy work. So I'll thank you to not generalise myself and others based on your own opinions. And whatever you do think goes on inside our heads, those ARE your opinions only.

I'm really sick of the whole "There's a massive fanbase for X", or "Y would be a WoW-killer if it just had a chance".

There is no massive conspiracy waiting in the MMO playerbase.

There are no "sleeper-agent fans" waiting to convert once the X or Y is unleashed on the world.
