Veteran account inaccessible for newcomers?

is there any way to  upgrade your account from Starter to Veteran?

does buying a month   of Gold account type make you Veteran after it expires?

or its exclusive for accounts before the transition?

if thats the case... im aware its a reward for ''loyal fans'' and they should be rewarded. but some rewards from veteran accounts are rather big considering it has no recurring subscription like gold.

kick in the balls for the new players who missed the ark before it went f2p.

    The euro business model is what it is, not right now but at least it is playable free, a way for starter accounts to upgrade to veteran without charge is one of gameforges stated top priorities, for now they are cashing in on being the only F2p Aion.

    It kinda works because newbies buy gold packs and sell them to vets for 10kk.

    Things will likely change when NA go live on april 11tth, on paper it looks as if they will be offering more free but GF won't do nothing and let all their populations leave.

    I also heard the NA cash shop is ip blocked to europeans.
