Downtime

With the need of resting between fights, i noticed on the Vox server that opened yesterday, that there was much more socialising going on. As the resting prevents people from rushing they actually took the time to chat and socialise. Maybe a little forced downtime between figts isnt all that bad after all.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

When grouped, I never found the downtime that big of a deal....Now if you were a warrior and were solo...It sucked, but my main was a Necro, so I really never had downtime for the most part later on.

It kind of sucked when you had to stare at your book, to meditate, never knew when something was going to sneak up on you, but that was gone very early on.

Once grouped and buffed though, it moves for about everyone, it's just more of a group game than a lot of the newer stuff.  I am hoping that EQ Next keeps a lot of the earlier EQ spirit, not the LDoN insatnce stuff that I wasn't a big fan of later...The little they have said makes it seem so.
